How You Can Help

Learn About the Campaign

The first thing you can do to help the Victors for Michigan campaign is to learn what it's all about. Take a look at our Campaign Overview, where you can familiarize yourself with our three campaign priorities: student support, engaged learning and bold ideas. Get background information with our Campaign FAQ. And be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook.

Talk About the Campaign

The next and best way you can help is to share your own story about why you support Michigan. By telling your story in your own words, you become an ambassador for the university.

However you choose to tell it, your story matters! You will be most effective when you speak honestly, passionately, and personally about what Michigan has meant in your life.

Do you value Michigan for the education you received? for your fellow students and alumni? The great professors? The world-changing research? Did you receive a scholarship yourself, or see the impact of philanthropy in some other area of the university? Are you paying it forward? Let people know!

You can also share stories that we publish. By following us on Twitter, Facebook, the alumni magazine Michigan Today, the Leaders and Best publications, or the website of your favorite U-M college, school, or non-degree-granting unit, you’ll always see great stories that make sharing easy! Post the stories and videos you like, and include a personal message about why you support U-M.

Make a Gift

When you make a personally meaningful donation, you become a much more effective volunteer. Because you have put your money where your mouth is, others can see that you mean what you say about Michigan. They are more likely to follow where you lead.

So: thank you for your gift! We are especially grateful to all our volunteers for making gifts that are personally significant for them, and for then turning around and inspiring others to do the same.
