To be eligible for D-SIP, students must be undergraduates enrolled at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, Flint or Dearborn campuses.

Applications to the program are being accepted on a continual basis until 11:59 P.M. on Sunday, January 8, 2023. Selected candidates will be asked to complete two rounds of interviews. All applicants will be notified of final decisions in mid-March 2023.

Program Information

Participants earn $17.00/hour for all time worked at their assigned internships in U-M unit or local community nonprofit. Students are not paid for attending classes or lectures or completing coursework. D-SIP interns do not work on Memorial Day or Independence Day. Students may choose to enroll in D-SIP for credit or as a not-for-credit internship. However, participants will be expected to attend all class sessions and complete assignments regardless of credit status. The program runs May 9, 2023 through July 28, 2023. Interns cannot miss any part of the program.
