The Event on Main is a dinner experience that takes place on Main Street in downtown Ann Arbor. Raising more than $1 million in its first three years, this sparkling, high-profile evening supports the University of Michigan’s children’s and women’s hospitals. Attended by more than 500 community leaders and business owners, this spectacular event offers terrific sponsorship opportunities.
We’re excited to announce that this year’s beneficiary is the U-M Food Allergy Center within C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. It will be the largest center in the United States, providing comprehensive clinical care and basic science research to the food allergic community. Researchers estimate that up to 15 million Americans have food allergies of varying degrees of severity, some of which can be life-threatening. Food allergies affect 1 in every 13 children under the age of 18 — an average of two in every classroom.
