Parking and Transportation

A list of available parking areas can be found here. Note that metered parking in the city of Ann Arbor is free after 6:00 p.m. and on Sundays. Additional U-M visitor parking information is also available. Due to the busy nature of this weekend, if you do plan to park around central campus, we recommend leaving extra time in your schedule in order to get to your event on time.

Shuttles, Taxis, and Online Transportation (such as Uber/Lyft):

There are many services that operate both between Detroit Metro Airport and Ann Arbor and in the Ann Arbor area in general; you can review a list on the visitors' bureau website.

Public Transportation:

We encourage you to utilize the buses in Ann Arbor instead of trying to park whenever possible. Ann Arbor has two bus transportation systems: University of Michigan buses and Ann Arbor Transportation Authority (AATA) buses. The University of Michigan buses are free, and bus routes cover most of Central, South, and North campuses. You can use Google maps to plan a public transit route, or view U-M bus route details here.

AATA (The Ride) Bus:

Bus routes cover the city of Ann Arbor and some of the surrounding areas. Tickets are $1.50 one way and the drivers to not provide change. Visit The Ride to learn more about how to ride, and use Google maps to plan your route.

Other information, including additional hotel listings, transportation information, and visitor resource links, can be found through the Ann Arbor Area Convention and Visitor's Bureau.
