Welcome

The University of Michigan Schools of Public Health and Social Work have developed new online directories for their respective alumni, to help their alumni get in touch with classmates and create networking opportunities. The directories went in October 2015. By default, the following information is searchable: first/last name, degree-related public information, email address, home city, state, country, and region.

We invite you to customize your listing in the directories.

By updating your privacy settings, you can select which information is searchable and which is kept hidden from search. You can change any of these settings between now and October (or any time thereafter, if you wish). You can also choose to completely opt-out of online alumni directories.

Steps to Update Your Profile

FAQ

How do I update my employment and professional information?
Please log in to view the current employment/professional information that we have on your record. If an update is needed, you may edit or add new employment/professional information by submitting the following form. Note: this information could take 24-48 hours to update.

What information of mine is visible/searchable in the directory?
By default, first and last name, degree-related public information, email address, home city, state, country and region are searchable within online directories. All information may be hidden by adjusting your directory privacy settings except name and degree related information (which are kept public in accordance with U-M Standard Practice Guide section 602.06). By logging in and proceeding to your directory privacy settings you may toggle the searchability of your information (except name and degree information (per U-M Standard Practice Guide section 602.06).

Who has access to the directory? Who can see my information?
Access to online directories is limited exclusively to alumni from the sponsoring School. Alumni from other U-M entities and the general public do not have access to online directories and, as such, your information.

What is the difference between my U-M Profile ("My Profile") and my Directory Profile?
Your U-M Profile displays and allows you to edit your contact information as found in the U-M Alumni database. Your Directory Profile presents your contact information as it will be displayed in the alumni directory (i.e. this is how other alumni searching for you will "see" you). Note: you will see all of your contact information when viewing your own Directory Profile including any information that you've set to be private/hidden. Other alumni will not see information that you have set to private/hidden.

How do I update my U-M Profile information?
You can update your profile information by logging into the U-M Profile update page. You may update your directory privacy settings by logging into the privacy setting page

How do I opt-out of alumni directories?
You may opt-out of directories entirely by updating your alumni directory preferences.

If I opt out of the Schools of Social Work and Public Health alumni directories, can I opt back in at a later date?
Yes, by going to your alumni directory preferences, unchecking the checkbox for whichever school(s) directory/directories you'd like to opt-back-in to and submitting.

How do I login?
You can login here using your uniqname and password (you should be redirected to this page after logging in).

What if I've forgotten my password/uniqname?
Information for retrieving your uniqname and retrieving/resetting your password can be found on the U-M web login page (you should be redirected to this page after logging in).

When does the directory launch?
The directory is scheduled to launch at the end of October 2015. You are strongly encouraged to update your U-M Profile information and directory privacy settings in advance of the impending launch (and you may continue to update your information after the inital launch). You may also preview your directory profile.

However, you are strongly encouraged to update you U-M Profile information and directory privacy settings in advance of the impending launch (and you may continue to update your information after the inital launch).

Can you U-M staff edit my privacy settings for me?
