Testimonials from past guests:
"It was snowing pretty hard the night I attended the Career Chat, but it was definitely worth the trip. The Career Chat came at a great time for me in my discussions with Michigan -- I was very interested in joining the community, but I wasn't sure of how, when or where it would happen. The chance to hear about the broad range of career opportunities within Development, and to meet members of the team from across the campus, helped solidify my interests and I am grateful that I could participate."
- Michele Siegal, Director of Development and Alumni Relations - Rackham Graduate School
"In my experience, the Career Chat was absolutely the most helpful part of my search at U-M. It creates an environment that can’t be recreated via email or resumes. It allows you to interact with development staff that have been in your shoes, and are now serving in all areas of U-M Development Community. These conversations were crucial in determining where I’d be most valuable to the organization, and where I could make the most impact on our collective mission."
- Jason Keech, Assistant Director, Departments, Centers and Institutes, Michigan Medicine
"As a mid-career professional exploring new options, I really appreciated the efficiency of the Career Chat. I got to hear about all aspects of development and speak to a few development professionals one on one. Well done!"
- Susan Barnes, Communications Professional
"I still reflect back on the Career Chat I attended before I was hired. The staff was genuinely enthusiastic about the U-M Development Community, and it was really inspiring. I truly wanted to be part of such a special team working together for the betterment of the entire University community. Now, as an employee, I am honored to be a member of that team. Every day I see the commitment that first inspired me."
- Martha K. Bayer, Senior Development Assistant, Major Gifts, Office of University Development
